NETHERLAND was chosen as the Best Feature Film-Video at the Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) 2000. As described in the program guide, NETHERLAND tells the story of, “An ex-police officer wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and daughter, adjusts to life after prison with an over possessive childhood friend and a new relationship. John Reidy, a Massapequa Park native, shot this film in Massapequa, Seaford and many other areas in Nassau County. Language, violence.”
