What the video is about: A loving comedy parody of the Beach Boys’ “Kokomo,” replacing tropical destinations with Ronkonkoma and familiar LIRR stops such as Jamaica, Mineola, Hicksville, Farmingdale and Deer Park.
Long Island significance: The video functions as a humorous tour of commuting and everyday Long Island life, including crowded trains, slow Expressway traffic and local landmarks.
