Written and directed by Malverne native Jason Michael Brescia (The Newest Pledge),Bridge and Tunnelfollows a group of friends in their mid-twenties stuck in the crossroads of their post-college lives. Having been shown at over a dozen film festivals nationally, the film will make its theatrical debuton September 26th at the Beverly Hills Music Hall in Los Angeles, California. The film focuses on Long Islanders Sal, Terry, Nate, and Lina - childhood friends who grew up in post9/11 New York, graduated high school at the peak of the War on Terror, and began adulthood amidst a global financial crisis. Equal parts provoking, routine, and juvenile, their lives intertwine over the course of a year as they struggle with adult responsibility, love loss, and the aftermath Hurricane Sandy, ultimately pushing each others lives forward while remaining stagnant on Long Island. The film stars Annet Mahendru (The Americans) as well as Long Island natives Joe Murphy and Chris Viemeister. Keeping true to it's storyline, the scenes for the film were shot up and down the coast of Long Island including wreckage from Hurricane Sandy in Long Beach, the town of Rockville Centre, Brescia's hometown of Malverne and local bar favorite The Leaky Lifeboat Inn in Seaford. The music for the film also has strong Long Island Roots, tapping Long Beach resident Ryan Hunter (Envy On The Coast) to create the film's score and Rockville Centre born John Nolan (Taking Back Sunday) for the film's theme "Here Comes the Wolf." Also on the film's soundtrack are Long Beach resident Vinnie Caruana (I Am The Avalanche) and Queens native Anthony Raneri (Bayside). The film is sure to connect with audiences from Long Island and beyond with it's heartfelt realness and relatable events.
